Events on 9/11

• The morning of 9/11 three planes took off from three different airports headed for cross country destinations

• The United States had not idea that they were about to be attacked

• The terrorists were able to very easily breach sequrity and get onto specific planes that were going to take cross-counrty flights so that there would be plenty of fuel to carry out their operation

• The planes were hijacked by al Queda and headed towards the terrorists planned destinations

  • 8:40 a.m. the North Tower was struck by Flight 11

  • 9:03 a.m the South Tower was struck by Flight 175

  • 9:37 a.m. the west wing of the Pentagon in Washington D.C. was struck by Flight 77

  • 10:07 a.m. Flight 93 crashed into a field in Somerset, Pennsylvania

• Almost 3,000 people were killed that day due to the terror attacks against America
