Foreign and Domestic Wars Against Terror

Persian Gulf War
The Gulf War was mostly fought between Kuwait and Iraq over Kuwait's oil. Saddam Hussein accused Kuwait of taking oil from feilds that beloned to Iraq. Saddam set out to invade Kuwait and use the oil money to bail Iraq out of debt. When President Bush saw what Iraq had in mind, he quickly condemmed the invasion. The US freed Kuwait from Iraqi control and teamed up with the UN. Their role in the Gulf War effected the outcome of the war.
The US demanded that the Iraqi soldiers get out of Kuwait. The US stuck to their goals while fighting in the Middle East. They wanted to make sure they knew what they were getting into before they got involved.
