By February1991, Iraq was near collapse. By Febbryary 28, President Bush called a cease fire, ending the war....

• Suddam had to recognice Kuwait free and get rid of all weapons of mass destruction

• It was seen as a coalition victory, but both Kuwait and Iraq suffered severe damage and Suddam was still in power

• Iraq still didn't fully cooperate with the agreementsa and had uprisings within the country

• The war would have lasting effects for years to come, in the Persian Gulf area and around the world leaving legacies in many people's lives
